Chelsea Sauvé, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), works with both adults and adolescents as they navigate a variety of life’s challenges including life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and the cultivating of emotional coping skills. Her approach is best described as integrative, utilizing the nexus of modalities that best suit her clients presenting concerns. She borrows from a variety of modalities including polyvagal theory, somatic approaches, mindfulness, internal family systems, cognitive behavioural therapy and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
With a casual, warm approach, Chelsea fosters a collaborative environment where clients can feel comfortable and confident. Building an authentic and effective therapeutic alliance is at the heart of Chelsea’s practice, allowing active listening, humour, compassion and zero judgment to help found a space of healing and growth.
Chelsea is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and works under the supervision of Dr. Jacob Kaiserman (psychologist). Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, she trained and worked as a lawyer. She also has a Masters of International Affairs specializing in conflict resolution.
