Dr. Danielle Louise Bouchard, C.Psych. (Supervised practice)
Danielle provides psychological services to individuals who are experiencing a wide variety of problems, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, complex & developmental trauma, interpersonal difficulties, poor self-esteem, grief and loss, burnout and adjustment to major life’s transitions.
Danielle works collaboratively with clients to identify goals and develop tailored treatment strategies. She uses an integrative approach incorporating a number of evidence-based treatments including psychodynamic, compassion focused, cognitive behavioural, experiential, interpersonal, and mindfulness. She believes the therapeutic relationship is an essential component of therapy and for many a starting place where change can take place, a focus area for her doctoral dissertation.
Danielle received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Ottawa in 2018. She has had a broad range of clinical experiences, providing assessment and treatment in various settings, including the Centre for Psychological Services and Research at the University of Ottawa, the Mood Disorder Program and the Geriatrics Psychiatry Program at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre and the Oncology Program at CHEO. She has also benefited from specialized training in areas of mindfulness and trauma, including working within private practice settings in these areas.
Danielle is supervised by Dr. Jacob Kaiserman at Queensview Professional Services. Her application to the College of Psychologists of Ontario for supervised practice is currently in review. She also works at the Ottawa Neurofeedback and Psychotherapy Centre (ONPC).
